This service includes the following components:

  • Assisting the client in getting out of bed, undressing, dressing, and putting themselves to bed.
  • Assisting the client with a wash, shower, or bath, which includes hair washing, grooming, shaving, mouth care, bed bath, and oral hygiene.
  • Assisting the client with toilet needs, such as cleaning and waste disposal.
  • Assisting the client in eating or drinking, preparing breakfast, hot meals, and snacks, cooking cultural food or cuisine, continental dishes, and associated kitchen cleaning and hygiene
  • Assisting clients with prescribed medication or other health-related duties in compliance with local policies or as described in the service user’s care plan.
  • Assisting service users with mobility and transportation by using mobility aids or equipment.
  • When necessary, assisting the client with general correspondence.
  • Assist the client in attending appointments at the day care centre and the hospital.
  • Client assistance with sitting services
  • Infection control and management of the Continent
  • Management of pressure sores
  • Floating support services respond to household emergencies, including liaising with authorities and local contractors.
  • The hair plattingis service entails
  • Helping the client with prescribed medication or other health-related tasks Assist the client with escort services, such as visits to places of worship, theatres, movies, educational establishments, playgrounds, socialising and befriending, and so on.
  • Medication and health-related activities entail assisting clients in taking prescribed medications, collecting prescriptions, and attending GP appointments.

It should be noted that the Care Standards Act of 2000 does not include a definition of “personal care.” Personal care is classified into four types of care, as defined by the Care Standards Act of 2000, which are as follows:

  • Help with bodily functions like feeding, bathing, and toileting

Care that falls just short of bodily function assistance but still involves physical and intimate touching, such as assisting a person to get out of a bath and dressing.
